City Parks

Columbine Park

Twelve acre Columbine Park consists of two lighted softball fields, two sand volleyball courts, a hard surface basketball court, restrooms, picnic shelter and playground. This park and many others have shelters that rent by the hour, click here for more information on shelter rentals.

Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park was opened in 1922. This centrally located park offers something for everyone. The outdoor pool and waterslide, playgrounds, lighted tennis courts, picnic areas and golf course offer activities for all. The football and baseball stadiums at the nearby stocker stadium and sam suplizio field are the site for local, regional and national events, including Grand Junction's annual JUCO event, the Junior College World Series.

Kronkright Park

This park is notable because it is also one of the few to have softball facilities. This park, part of the Pomona schoolgrounds, is 16 acres, besides two fields it also has picnic shelter with restrooms, barbecue, and basketball courts.

In addition to these larger city parks, Grand Junction is also home to dozens of smaller parks where you can let your children play, walk your dog, or have your next family barbecue. The park locations can be found here, courtesy of city of grand junction website.
